For Your Viewing Pleasure and/or Morbid Curiosity
Welcome to the Newest Section of Sequential Glass wherein I have decided to part with my extensive collection of antique medical prints. These aren't the ordinary anatomical repops that you see on eBay, these are the original prints from the original books from when they were originally published. I've spent years collecting these images from all over. They're disturbing, gruesome and an oh so delightful look into our pathological quest for understanding our own pathology. Please frequent as it will take a few months to post them all. Enjoy! I know the overall photos aren't the most detailed, please feel free to ask about close ups and more details, I will gladly accommodate all requests.
A Quintet of Sorrow
These poor bastards. From what I can tell these are a collection of portraits of people that suffer from either birth defects or some disease that was cured by something ridiculously common now but rare back than, like sunshine.
They measure 4" x 6"
Sold as a set
$55
Eyeball Maladies
I recently read Shakespeare invented both the words 'eyeball' and 'puke'. This then is a very Shakespearian lithograph of nasty eye diseases with a few parasites thrown in. I can't take my eyes off of some of them, others I run screaming from like a little girl.
German c 1890's

The Inspiration for One of Pinhead's Buddies
The second photo cracks me up. I expect if he turned around he'd look like Butterball from Hellraiser.

And then his brain escaped. I don't know. Ya either laugh or cry folks, laugh or cry.
These four aren't necessarily a series but I thought they went nicely together.
$45 for all
Fetus and Placenta
There's no jokes about this one.
$25
Inuetro with Friends
There's more going on in this photo than first appears. I didn't notice how umm.. off it was until I cropped it on the computer.
$18
That's a Lot To Do in Nine Months
Stages of inuetro development. In German.
$12
On the Use of Forceps
Three views on the apparent use of forceps in extracting a fetus, or perhaps turning a breech. Actually, I can no longer speculate on what these depict, I'm just going to let it speak for itself.
$18
There's Apparently Two Humans in this Illustration
This one is a complete mystery. The artistic skill and detail is amazing though.
