This is part of the old old collegiate chemistry/biology sets we've been lucky enough to come across. I once again have no idea what it was for but what it could be is absolutely engrossing. (?)<br> </p><p>The heft of this glass is old and quality, and it has something wonderfully scientific going on. This piece is a bit older than the others and just by holding it, you can tell a lot of other people have also. (At least that's what I keep telling myself) Eeeek!</p><p>This piece was probably for demonstration as it's kinda science-faired together. It includes one large tube with two smaller scaled tubes in situ, four glass valves, three other cups and some rack and pinion thing tacked on the side. And a phyllotaxy rod (?) that may or not have ever been used with the other pieces, fascinating.
