I've been going Spring Crazy with cleaning and projects so there are new items in Single Steampunk, Mosaics and just a teaser shot of the soon to be posted tub of medical glass I just salvaged from a University near by.

In honor of little Sequential Glass' first birthday I'm running a little contest. Whoever first guesses correctly what the fine dusty item is above will receive a dusty, brassy and very cool surprise gift, Hurrah!

Please answer in the comments and I'll announce a winner next week.

Awesome guesses guys but no cigar. Here's another viewIMG_2010.JPG to help clarify. Winner on Friday!

Is it the printing mechanism for an old cash register?

I think it's a fuel pump dinger and price displayer! Or is it a tire inflator dinger and air pressure displayer!

Clearly it's tiny little tires with numbers on them for measuring tiny distances.

I'd definitely say it's a counting mechanism of some sort. It could almost be the mechanism from an electrical meter, but it looks too old...maybe not though. I guess old power plants might have had something like this?

Gas meter. The big wheel is the one that turns the most.

It's a speedometer/odometer. Want me to guess the make and model for extra goodies ;)

I was thinking a gas meter but I will go with water meter.

I thought I would pass along this idea since no one has said it a "life timer" that shows how long something has been running?

But it does have a gas or water meter look to it... but who knows...
